At a recent invitation I got taste one of my TOP favourite deep fried battered chicken, well definitely the POPEYES Lousiana Kitchen ! It was founded at New Orleans in 1972 with 1,943 restaurants in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam and 27 foreign countries. I fall for Popeyes due to it’s unique Cajun taste and yet with the touch of the New Orleans-style cuisine.
My present was to try out their Sticky Wicked Chicken which I found honestly amazingly good to my liking. Can you imagine every bite was strips of boneless chicken given a good 12 hours of marination and hand-battered then freshly tossed in a special sweet and spicy sauce and served up twisted, curly and wicked! Yeah, very wicked at RM4.95 which I think is awesome introductory price!
if you have a bigger appetite, meal for two would be a fabulous option. A box of Sticky Wicked Chicken, 2 pieces of Bonafide Chicken, 3 pieces of Bonafide Chicken Tenders, 2 pieces of Biscuits, 1 large mashed potatoes or coleslaw and 2 regularrinks at only RM20.60 with 31% savings..

Chicken Combo
My favourite was their Chicken Combo, just awesome crispy and the meat was succulent attractive and juicy moist. Definitely one of the best and definitely different in taste and texture. Lucky the nearest one is just not far from my place. The combo came in 2 or 3 pieces of chicken and also 2 regular sides (mashed potato and coleslaw) plus one biscuit and a regular drink. I found it to be very affordable!
Chicken Tenders (Louisiana Travellers)
It was smashing as I got to bite into the thick strips of bonneless crip chicken, succulent tender in texture and jive with my chilli sauce. It came either 3 or 5 pieces with 2 regular sides, i biscuit and 1 regular soft drink. So lovely!
Seafood Combo Shrimps
A touch of seafood option is efintely a fabulous thing to have and I found it at Popeyes here. You can have wither fish or shrimps coated in battered. I tried the shrimps and it was really good in taste and texture. Seafood combo comes with 2 pieces of fish at RM11.35, shrimps at RM14.35 or both combination at RM15.35. All the sets comes with regular sides and drinks.

Poyeyes shrimp sandwich at RM8.90 was tasty but I think their chicken sandwich shuould be good too. I got to taste their shrimp rice bowl too. Lovely.

Popeyes signature sides such as mashed potato and coleslaw tasted delicious and better thamn the normal ones I usually have. I found there were additional ingredient in it to jive up the taste and texture. Good!
